Four hours on a private green with the bowls, the barbecue and a bartender all sorted. Bring your group and we'll set the rest up.
Yours for the afternoon, most days of the week. We set everything up before your guests arrive and clean up once they've gone.
Venue hire $1,000
Use the gas barbecue at no extra cost, with the utensils and everything else provided. Or we'll set a grazing table up inside.
Catering from $25 a head
Bowls and a sheet on how to play come with every booking. Most groups who book here have never played before.

The pavilion and the green
It's an open, casual space. Ten people round one table works. So does a much bigger group spread out across the green.
The pavilion sits at the edge of the green with a covered deck along the front. There's seating inside and room for a grazing table. Outside there are tables on the lawn, plus more seating under cover if the weather turns. Everything opens onto the green.
We provide the bowls and a sheet explaining how to play. Most groups who book have never played, which is fine. If you'd rather not run it yourself, we can put a staff member on to organise the bowls.
The area around the pavilion is glass-free, so drinks are served in plastic glassware.

We set the catering up inside as a grazing station. The menus below are a starting point. If you want something different, just ask.
Getting here
- Come in via Odawara Close The pavilion has its own entrance, on the side street next to the Round House Childcare Centre off Balgowlah Road. It's easy to drive straight past, so tell your guests before the day.
- The gate opens 15 minutes before you start It stays shut until then, so there's no point turning up early to set up.
- Check the parking signs outside the Round House Restrictions apply at certain times of day, and they do get enforced.

Good to know
The practical bits.
When can we have it, and for how long?
Four hours, most days of the week, somewhere between 9am and 5pm. In daylight saving months you can run until 8pm. We'll confirm what's free when you enquire. It's a daytime space, so it suits a long lunch or an afternoon on the green better than a late night.
How many people does it hold?
Up to 60 guests, and the green takes 56 players at once. There's seated furniture for 16 inside and 16 outside, plus more seating on the covered deck. Bigger groups work best standing and moving about, with a grazing table rather than a sit-down meal.
Do we have to be members?
No, anyone can book it. Manly Golf Club members pay 25% less on the pavilion and green hire fee.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Food yes, drinks no. The self-catering option is built around you bringing your own food and cooking on our barbecue. Drinks come from us at bar prices, served by your bartender. The area is glass-free, so everything is served in plastic glassware.
What does it take to confirm a booking?
A $1,000 deposit and a completed booking form. If you've gone with our catering, we'll be in touch about a week before to confirm final numbers.
Is there anything extra to budget for?
Sundays and public holidays carry a surcharge. You also need to be out within 30 minutes of the event finishing, or extra charges apply. Everything else is either in the hire fee or listed above.
None of us have played bowls before. Is that a problem?
No. Most groups who book haven't played. Bowls and how-to-play sheets come with every booking, and we can put a staff member on to run it at $50 an hour, minimum 3 hours. It takes an end or two before everyone gets the hang of it.
