Since Friday the Course Maintenance rain gauges have recorded 330mm. As you can imagine this has left a devastating effect on the course as all of the waterways burst their banks leaving debris and sediment throughout the entire property.
The most disappointing part of the damage is that we lost the large fig which is just short right of the 12th green. The tree snapped in half and lost a fair amount of the root structure. The arborist has condemned the remaining section and therefore the tree will be removed on Tuesday & Wednesday.
Assuming the weather remains stable we look to re-open the course on Thursday and will keep members advised of our progress.
Through this time the clubhouse will be open (Champions Bar from 10am to 5pm) (Golf Shop Tuesday 8am -5pm & Wednesday 6am to 5pm) (Reception 9am to 5pm as usual).
The putting green will be open for use however the practice fairway will be closed
We shall keep members advised as to our progress.
