JOINING MGC

Manly Golf Club is in the fortunate position to have waitlists for all categories of playing membership. We are currently not accepting new playing membership applications as the waitlist is closed. When the new member waitlist reopens, current members will be notified.

MEMBERSHIP

The Club maintains a level of membership to ensure accessibility across its facilities to all members. This is achieved by keeping a balance across the various categories of golf, house and bowling.
In keeping with the Club’s Constitution all candidates applying for a playing category of membership, have to be proposed and seconded by playing members of the Club with a minimum of 5 years’ tenure.

MEMBERSHIP At MGC

5 DAY MEMBERSHIP

5-Day Playing (Intermediate & Junior) male members may not use the course on Tuesdays until 20 mins after the Women's competition. Male and Female members may not use the course on Wednesdays or Saturdays until 20 mins after the Men’s competition. Manly Golf Club is pleased to offer extended term payment options over joining fees - details available on application.

7 DAY MEMBERSHIP

7-Day Playing (Intermediate & Junior) members have full-playing rights except that male members may not use the course on Tuesdays until after the Women’s competition or 2.00pm which ever is the later. Female members may not use the course on Wednesdays until after the Men’s competition or 2.00pm which ever is the later.

COUPLES MEMBERSHIP

Manly Golf Club wishes to enhance the family tradition of membership and accordingly now offer a discount to couples in a permanent relationship wishing to become members. The first person joins as a 7-Day Playing Member ($16,000) and the partner may join in the same or another playing category paying a joining fee of only 25% of the first person's joining fee. Should the first person join on a discounted rate the total of the two entrance fees shall total $20,000. The partner must stay in the category joined or a higher category for a minimum period of three years.

OTHER MEMBERSHIP

Cadet

The Club now allows children between the ages of 8-14 and who have completed the after school clinics to join the Cadet programme. They do not pay an entrance fee and the annual subscription is only $225 per annum. Cadets may play on the course within the Cadet competition times on a Saturday afternoon and may play within social times accompanied by a Club member once a 9-hole Cadet Handicap of 25 (for 9 holes) is obtained.

Country 7-Day & 5-Day Playing

To qualify as a Country member your permanent place of residence must be outside a radius of 150km from the Sydney GPO. These members enjoy the same rights as 7-Day and 5-Day Playing members with an annual limit of 20 games and 15 games, respectively.

House

A House member enjoys full clubhouse privileges but has no golfing rights.

Bowling

A Bowling member enjoys full clubhouse privileges and use of the bowling green but has no golfing rights.

GOLF PRACTICE FACILITIES

Manly Golf Club boasts an outstanding combination of convenient practice facilities.

For fine-tuning your putting, chipping & bunker play the practice greens are conveniently located in front of the clubhouse – the size and quality of these assets make us the envy of many Sydney clubs. The vastness of the putting green combined with the multiple and varied chipping and bunker practice options are world-class and of great benefit to visitors, our members and their guests.

Range balls are available from the Golf Shop – it’s the perfect way to warm up prior to your round, so arrive half an hour before your tee time and grab a bucket! You can also book a lesson on the range from one of our PGA Teaching Professionals.
