At Manly Golf Club we cater for all levels of golfers, from beginners to low handicap golfers.

All of our PGA Staff use the latest state of the art video analysis including: Skillest, Hudle Technique and V1 Digital Coaching System.

Will’s time playing golf overseas and in Australia has assisted him in understanding the mechanics of a good golf swing, as he has worked with and learnt from a number of highly regarded coaches. His playing experience has also helped him to understand what is required to be a successful golfer at all levels. Will seeks to impart this knowledge to those he teaches, from juniors right through to elite golfers

After touring the world as part of the Australian Golf Team as an Amateur, Ricky moved into his 3 year apprenticeship at Manly Golf Club where he was able to gain multiple forms of qualifications, including the TPI program. These programs include multiple areas of the golfing industry; body screening, junior development programs, US Kids Certification and the PGA of Australia.

Philip Baird, Manly GCs Director of Golf, has been a full PGA AAA Member since 1986..

A renowned short game specialist, Philip is extremely passionate about the game of golf and has immersed himself in coaching golf at all levels for some 30 years.

Philip cut his teeth under the excellent tutelage of David Mercer at Killara Golf Club, and then worked alongside Master Instructor Peter Croker rolling out the ‘Natural Golf System’ in the early 90’s before becoming a lead instructor with the Jack Nicklaus Golf Schools. Since then, Phil has attended every PGA National Coaching Summit learning new techniques and teaching skills from some of the world’s great coaches.  Even with this considerable depth of coaching experience, Philip still considers himself ‘a keen student of the game’ believing that there’s always more to master.

 Fittingly, Phil’s true passion is to assist any golfer with the desire to learn and firmly believes that there’s room for improvement in every golfer.  ‘No matter what level your game is at, continually improving your technique is the key to lowering your scores and truly enjoying this great game of ours’ states Phil.

To Philip’s credit, he has produced both State & National Champions from the last four Assistant Club Professionals under his mentorship at Manly GC, including Nathan King, Richie Gallichan, Taylor Cooper & Will Flitcroft.

Will Flitcroft

Will seeks to impart this knowledge to those he teaches, from juniors right through to elite golfers.

While playing US collegiate golf, where many of the top professionals began their careers, he built up a better understanding of the mental side of the game and developed a number of quality practice routines.  Will believes he can assist all levels of golfers and take their game to the next level by making practice more enjoyable and improving their golfing thought creating better processes.

Will holds Advanced Coaching status through the PGA of Australia and continues to invest in improving his skills as a teacher.  He has completed the Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 certification and Level 2 and 3 Junior certification, as well as Coaching and Power Level 2 which is held by only a handful of coaches throughout Australia.
